Reviewed and summarized results of water quality monitoring programs conducted by community groups and forest companies in 19 community and domestic watersheds the Arrow Forest District between 1994 and 2000. Evaluated regional, seasonal, and annual differences in water quality (including suspended sediment, temperature, coliform bacteria, metals, and benthic invertebrates). Commented on possible land use (forestry, range, recreation) effects. Provided recommendations on changes to the study design for future monitoring and on suitable indicators of changes in water quality.
