Designed, coordinated and supervised construction of flood protection works (riprap, dike reinforcement, bioengineering) on several First Nation reserves in Southern B.C. in advance of the 1999 freshet. Reserves included lands of the Little Shuswap, Adams Lake, North Thompson, Spallumcheen, Okanagan, Penticton, and Osoyoos Bands. Acted as environmental monitors for these projects as well as several others on lands of the Coldwater, Lower Nicola, Nooaitch, and Upper Nicola Bands. Obtained emergency regulatory approval from DFO and MELP. Post-construction surveying and additional habitat restoration works were completed during the summer of 1999.
