Conducted an environmental impact assessment for a proposed water transmission main in the Okanagan Valley. The pipeline will deliver domestic and irrigation water from surface water sources on the upper plateau to the community of Westbank. Inspected the pipeline route and evaluated potential impacts on fish and fish habitat, wildlife and wildlife habitat, water quality, slope stability, and wetlands. Provided recommendations on route modifications and mitigation strategies.
