Conducted hydrological studies that formed part of an assessment of impact of varying hydro-electric dam flow ramping rates on fish in the Shuswap River between Sugar and Mabel Lakes. Established flow monitoring stations and measured changes in river stage and velocity during up- and down-ramping (changes in dam discharge in response to power requirements). Provided recommendations for maintaining adequate fish flows and minimising effects from sudden increases in velocity.
