Completed an environmental impact assessment of a proposed upgrade to a natural gas distribution system near Salmon Arm, B.C. The assessment evaluated the potential environmental impacts of several reinforcement options, including i) 50 km of pipeline looping, ii) a satellite liquefied natural gas (LNG) storage facility, and iii) additional compression station(s). Assessed potential impacts on fish, wildlife, water resources, air quality, land use, soils, geologic hazards, archaeological and heritage resources, and visual resources. Made recommendations on facility location and mitigation strategies.
