Conducted a Phase 2 site assessment at the site of an automotive retail operation in Vernon. The site was formerly a gas station, and had been used for other industrial activities (e.g. sawmill, crate factory, auto wrecker). A drill rig was used to obtain soil samples that were analysed for hydrocarbons and metals. Based on the results, a remediation plan was developed. Supervised tank and soil removal and completed confirmation sampling of groundwater and adjacent soils. Arranged for soil disposal at an approved site. A Certificate of Compliance was obtained from the Ministry of Environment after remediation was completed. The site is now a retail mall.
