The Village of Chase, B.C. historically relied on a single shallow water intake on the South Thompson River.  New provincial health regulations required treatment upgrades and the potential development of alternative water sources.  For this project, Summit assessed the feasibility of developing groundwater resources to serve as either a backup / emergency supply, or to replace the existing surface water source.  We completed a groundwater feasibility report and then implemented a test well drilling program, supervised a 48 hour pumping test, and coordinated the project with Interior Health Authority.  Summit also assisted the Village in preparing a Request for Proposal to procure engineering services to assess water treatment requirements and emergency water supply options and made a presentation at a public Town Hall meeting to discuss the project with interested members of the community
