Through insurance companies and ICBC, Summit has taken the lead on the various phases of contamination mitigation works involving recent motor vehicle accidents where hazardous materials were released along major routes in the Interior of British Columbia. In association with licensed TDG (Transportation of Dangerous Goods) contractors, Summit has designed and supervised mitigation and remediation works, conducted the assessment and confirmatory sampling activities. Contaminated soils were transported to approved bioremediation facilities for attenuation and the success of remediation works were proven by confirmatory sampling results. As part of the mitigation works and where applicable, Summit has worked closely with Federal, Provincial and local government regulators to maintain communication and to obtain required permits.
