Developed a database (in Microsoft Access format) to accommodate the wide range of data which the Okanagan Nation Alliance (ONA) collects and manages, specifically fish enumeration surveys and biosampling, smolt and emergence surveys, mysid and zooplankton surveys, acoustic trawl surveys and water quality information collection (e.g., dissolved oxygen, temperature and nutrient chemistry).  Prepared a user's manual and presented the database design in a workshop.
Phase II of the ONA database project involved translating historical data from Microsoft Excel and Word spreadsheets and populating the ONA database template.  Quality control analyses were conducted during this process to identify potential data gaps and inconsistencies.  Additional quality control analyses were conducted on the data in this format to ensure that the relational components of the database are appropriately representing the data and that the data was translated correctly.
