Summit has completed many channel and watershed assessments using both guidebook and customised approaches, to ensure results are credible, useful, and compatible with expectations of the Forest Practices Code, regional watershed management guidelines and various higher level plans. Harvesting opportunities and appropriate constraints have been identified based on Equivalent Clearcut Areas (ECAs) and detailed field-based investigations of channel stability, disturbance, sensitivity, and restoration opportunities. Detailed road and block plans have also been assessed in the field. Results have been presented at technical committee, stakeholder, and public meetings.
